Book Week Giveaway #5: Win a Ben Sanders Print based on the illustrations from I’ve an Uncle Ivan (closed)

  1. We would love the grandma Maxine print. We would hang it in our lounge room where everyone could see it. There are not enough images of curvy girls being amazing in the world, this picture needs to be a focus point! Our daughters need to see girls of all sizes being ace.

Thanks for introducing this book to me, it looks truly wonderful.

Wow! What an amazing prize! I would love to win the “Uncle Ivan drivin’ a pie van” print and it would take pride of place on my little book-lovers bedroom wall. The colour and image go perfectly with what he already has in his room (transportation theme) and I can’t imagine how proud he would be to have this special print displayed. We also just recently pledged for the Story Box Library and are eagerly waiting to read our copy of “I’ve An Uncle Ivan”, so this print would tie in perfectly.

  3. Oh we’d love an Uncle Ivan Print. I’d probably have to hang it in hall between the bedrooms so everyone can share :) Love it.
Been a great week looking forward to seeing the big book launch.

  4. We would love to win either print! We are expecting our first baby in Feb and we have started thinking about the nursery. Either of these prints would be perfect for the baby’s room. I started collecting books for my future children (and myself!) many years ago so books, prints and literature will be an essential part of my child’s life.

  5. We’d love the Uncle Ivan print. He’d take pride if place in our dining area. He strangely looks like miss 5 and master 3′s dad, and we have a dog too! He doesn’t drive a pie van though.

  6. I’d love to win ‘Uncle Ivan drivin’ a pie van’ to display in my youngest son’s room – to remind him and all of us of our interstate jaunts (yay, family road trip) to see family and friends!

  7. Definitely Grandma Maxine! I would display it in my school library to catch the attention of the children and use it a starting point for discussions. There is no doubt in my mind Uncle Ivan in his van would be just as much fun but I do have a soft spot for the talented Grandma Maxine – nothing retro about her!

  8. My monkey man (almost 4) is mega obsessed with I’ve an a Uncle Ivan! He requests it every night as well as often throughout the day. He talks about the book and quotes it frequently. He poors over the end papers for ages discussing the different modes of transport. Therefore, the Uncle Ivan print would be welcomed into monkey’s bedroom with great enthusiasm!

  9. Uncle Ivan drivin’ would brighten up my son’s room and is lots of fun,
sharing the story about family and transport appeals to my one.
Displayed next to his book nook this would look just great,
and continue his love of learning to read in his quiet space.

I’d love the Uncle Ivan driving print. It is such a gorgeous print and would look great in the kids shared bedroom, amongst the stickers of stars, flowers and aliens!

  11. I would love the Pie Van print and would put it in the entrance at our Pre school we are doing a big drive to encourage parents to read to their children and love to recommend great books for the children. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy for our school our children love rhyme and humour.

  12. Grandma Maxine looks quite mean
Like a good reason to keep things clean
We’d hang her up inside the loo
    To entertain while doing poo
And spin tales about her feat
Of breathing fire while keeping neat
And not to mention the colour yellow
Is a fav of my young fellow!

  13. Oh I love this book. It has very special meaning to us as “I’ve an uncle Ivan”. We would live Uncle Ivan drivin a pie van and I’d love to hang it in my sons bedroom. Our Uncle Ivan is my dads uncle (my dad passed away when I was 21) so my uncle Ivan is my only tie to my dads childhood and at nearly 85 he is getting on. I am going to get Thomas this book for his birthday and get our uncle Ivan to write in it for him. Would love to give him the print to go with it :-);

  14. I’d love the Grandma Maxine print, i’d put it on the wall in my entry way so that all could see when they arrive, what a great conversation starter for children and adults alike :) brings to the front the topic of the book.

  15. My Uncle Ivan isn’t a Pie Man, but he travels for his job too.
I want him to sit with me and read this book and together we can enjoy it through and through.
It doesn’t matter that I am a girl but the van print would be for my room
Uncle Ivan and I always pretend to drive…off we go vroom vroom vroom!

Jade is 3 and uncle Ivan is 38

  16. Children’s literature is celebrated in almost every room of my house from the loo to the library. That hot Grandma Maxine would be hung with pride below the emergency exit sign near the fire-extinguisher! Naturally.

  17. I would love to win Uncle Ivan drivin’ a pie van print and would love to display it in the reading corner that we have set up for our son who is learning to read these days.
