Exclusive Giveaway: Win a signed print from Oh No, George!(Closed)

We’re very lucky that Chris Haughton, along with Walker Books UK and Walker Books Australia, has offered us this exclusive signed print from his latest book Oh No, George!

We were already fans of Chris Haughton’s work, and he certainly didn’t disappoint us with Oh No, George! If you haven’t yet read our review, you can read it here.

In this print, you see George doing his best to avoid chasing the cat- one of his biggest temptations! How spectacular would this print look in your child’s room or your family reading nook?

Chris also popped by My Little Bookcase earlier in the week and confessed five truths about his work habits. It was quite an interesting read, where he revealed that he has 300 owls and 20 monkeys under his bed. If you missed this post, you can read about Chris’ other confessions here.

  1. Chris is going to pluck a few feathers from each owl and make himself a new quilt! Then when he sleeps at night he’ll get the monkeys to lie all over the bed so they can create a heat blanket for him… but for his sake I just hope monkeys don’t fart!

  2. A huge party!!!

  3. I think he is going to take them up in an airplane, and then fly over a disadvantaged town and release the owls into the sky. The monkeys I think he is going to randomly put in trees around his home town.

  4. Donate them to AUstralia Zoo so his poor Mum and Dad can get some sleep at night

  5. That print is gorgeous! Oh that army of owls are surely going to be part of his plan to rule the world …… Chris would lead the way with the monkeys of course.

  6. I am assuming that Chris is planning to build a hot air balloon with them. Imagine the fun you can have with an owl hot air balloon! The night flying would be fantastic fun, as long as the monkeys held on of course :)

  7. He’s going to use the owls and monkeys in his own production that he plans on doing after getting down to work on some more books. Perhaps a stage performance with all the owls hooting to a melody and the monkeys doing funny tactics to keep the toddlers amused whilst he busily signs copies and promotes his work.

  8. Stuff his mattress and dream up a new book adventure for our enjoyment full of primary colour animal fun! : ) Love your work Chris!!

  9. He’s going to find a suitable number of pussycats for the owls to sail away with….and the monkeys? Well they’re going to be trained up to pick up caps….

  10. Surely the 300 owls will be made into a hooting tooting alarm clock which the 20 (very) cheeky monkey’s will need to wake them up on cold, dark mornings!

  11. Making a band with hooting owls and banging monkeys

  12. The 20 monkeys will be dancing to the beat created by the 300 owls who’ve escaped up Chris’ street.

  13. H-Eeeee, E-eeeee, E-eeee’s going to have a Hoot Hoot Hoot!

  14. I am pretty sure he is using them as scouts on the look out for interesting stories he can make into wonderful children’s books! There are 15 owls to every monkey and they head out in groups for the day then meet back under the bed each night to discuss all the amazing sights and events they saw!

  15. I think that with 300 owls & 20 Monkey’s Chris intends upon clearing the neighbourhood in a land grab. He will then use this land as a nature reserve for said 300 owls and 20 monkeys.

  16. I am hoping he has anti flea collars on them!

I think the owls will give him wisdom overnight (by osmosis), and if he was like my son, the monkeys would eat all of the banana that he has hidden.

I’m guessing Chris is planning nothing less than global domination. With his winged army of the night, 20 monkey pilots on a tireless rotation of 300 night birdies, his airforce will be indomitable!

  19. He’s going to put the monkeys inside those gorgeous bags and the owls will fly them off so that they can catch any cats that venture near George so he won’t be tempted to chase them.

  20. Every child knows under the bed is the best breeding place for dirty (and preferrable odd) socks! Chris has just transferred what he learnt as a kid to his favourite pets…

  21. Get a bigger bed to collect even more!!

  22. I think Chris will use the owls to allow George to act innocently during his adventures when blamed for things by saying Who? Who? And then the monkeys to divert attention away from George.
