  1. We read and thoroughly enjoyed “My Uncle’s Donkey” by Tohby Riddle. A humourous look at all the everyday things one donkey gets up to in his owner’s apartment. Simple text and striking black, white and red illustrations make this a book that is appealing to toddlers and young children. The addition of several art references (Van Gough’s Sunflowers is one) was a great little talking point when we shared the book with our two children. After borrowing this at our local library I am keen to purchase it and add it to our home book collection.
