We love any type of bookish afternoon tea here at My Little Bookcase, and we are just thrilled to feature the afternoon tea that Kelly enjoyed with her children, inspired by the folk and adventures of the Magic Faraway Tree.
Silky, Moon-Face and Saucepan Man joined us for afternoon tea recently *smile* On the menu was homemade lemonade and Pop Biscuits!
Dino Boy enjoyed squeezing the lemons for our sweet lemonade…
3 lemons
1 litre water
1/3 cup sugar
And getting his hands messy…
…while rubbing the butter, sugar & flour together to make the Pop Biscuits

Pop Biscuits were lovely. Dick put one in his mouth and bit it. It went pop! at once – and he found his mouth full of sweet honey from the middle of the biscuit. ‘Delicious!’ he said. ‘I’ll have another…’

After we enjoyed our tasty treat we were surprised to find…
…that a mean Goblin had trapped Silky in the Faraway Tree *gasp*
